Thanksgiving Feast 2012

The 2012 Thanksgiving Feast is now history! WOW! I praise GOD for an amazing church family that lives out the gospel!

Let me share with you some stats:

1. Today we fed 837 people.

2. Our church family donated 487 coats - and also donated scarfs, gloves, and hats.

3. People prepared 52 turkeys.

4. People donated 170+ pies

5. Over 180 of our church family served in some capacity today!

In Mark 10:45, JESUS said, I have not come to be served, but (came) to serve and give My life a ransom for many. Quite literally, JESUS did not sit down at a table to be served. Rather, he came to "wait on tables." It's called servanthood. Another good text is Philippians 2: 5-11.

I am so grateful to GOD for a church that serves! Thank you, Beverly Morgan, our event coordinator, our leadership team, and all who served, for another excellent year!
