Grief Support Care Group Tuesdays:  11:00 am – 1:00 pm Circle Drive Baptist Church - Library The grief support group offers hope and support through sharing with others after the death of a loved one. This group strives to be an open and safe Christian discussion group for those suffering the loss of a loved one. We are here to share in your loss and lift you up to Christ in your healing. The support group is designed to encourage individuals who have experienced the loss of a loved one.　 The setting will provide Bible based resources on grief and how to understand and cope with various stages of grief. Each week the group will view a video on grief recovery, discuss the video and receive light homework assignments. Topics will include an understanding of the stages of grief, coping mechanisms, symptoms, anger, guilt and how to grow and become stronger as a result of the experience. Who should attend this workshop? Anyone who has suffered the loss of a loved one—a spouse, parent, child, relative or friend. It makes no difference how long ago the loss occurred, but our experience has been that you will do better if it has been at least 4–6 months since the loss. You should be far enough along in your grief journey that you are willing to complete a short reading assignment each week. We want you to feel comfortable, so if you would like to bring a friend with you for support, your friend is welcome to attend. Purpose: We are comforted by God in our grief and want to be used by God to comfort others.
